#MAME HYPERSPIN FILTERS FOR LCD LED HOW TO#
Would someone please point me to something that clearly and concisely tells me how to get the current version of HyperSpin working with my copy of MAME? I don't need to configure the flashy options yet that'll come later. A PC is recommended because the Pixelcade LED marquee will change dynamically when scrolling through games from your arcade front end (HyperSpin, GameEx, LaunchBox, Maximus Arcade, etc.) AND when a new game is launched vs. All of the information I've found talks about pieces that don't exist (HyperSpin comes with HyperLaunch but the information says to use RocketLaunch?) or tells me to move all the pieces of MAME into the HyperSpin directories (which of course breaks MAME), or explains every folder but doesn't tell me how to configure it. Connect the Pixelcade LED Marquee to your Raspberry Pi or Windows PC using the included USB A-A cable.
Problem is, I can't find any simple/straightforward tutorials or videos to explain how to set up HyperSpin 1.5.1 with MAME. Available as a DIY kit or fully assembled for Arcade1Up, AtGames Legends. Pixelcade LED is available in 5 sizes fitting full size cabinets, virtual pinball cabs, and Bartops. I'd like to try HyperSpin, to see if it works better, and also because HyperSpin looks flashy. Add a classic 8-bit look to your arcade machine with the Pixelcade LED Marquee + Pinball Display for Virtual Pinball or the high resolution Pixelcade LCD marquee. You can buy rgb LED's or individual color LED's on ebay, ten for 6 with shipping and 47 ohm resistors(use two for each LED) for less, so you can build the same device for under 10 using a pc board scrap or just a piece of wood with some holes drilled in it and some epoxy to hold. I've been using Attract Mode with it, but I'm having a problem where sometimes when I exit the game back to Attract Mode, the Attract Mode screen doesn't get focus and it ignores control inputs until I pull out the keyboard and press Alt-Tab. The RGB LED for 29 from Ultimarc was not worth the money. I have a cabinet with vertical display and a working installation of the latest version of MAME (with a set of about 400 hand-curated games, non-merged, some are clones).
